Travel guidelines

Instructions for Passengers

Please read the following guidelines carefully before booking your ticket and boarding the vessel.

  1. Cancellation & Refunds Tickets are non-refundable if the passenger cancels the booking.
  2. Trip Cancellation by Maldar A refund will be provided only if the trip is cancelled by Maldar Catamarans.
  3. Online Booking Cut-Off Online bookings for the next day close at 6:00 PM (1800 hours).
  4. Reporting Time Passengers must report at Jetty No. 2, Gateway of India (near the Swami Vivekanand Statue), at least 45 minutes before departure.
  5. Weekend & Holiday Departure On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the 8:30 AM trip will depart at 8:15 AM. Passengers must complete boarding before 8:15 AM.
  6. Pets Pets are permitted only on the Main Deck, with a full-price ticket, and must be kept on a leash and wearing a muzzle. Pets are not permitted on the bus.
  7. Complementary Services The ferry journey is up to Mandwa; thereafter a complementary bus ride is provided till Alibaug by Maldar Catamarans.

  • MALDAR CATAMARANS have been serving passengers since 1995, with a strong focus on safety, comfort and punctual service.
  • Over the years, we have earned the trust and support of generations of passengers through our commitment to providing a reliable and comfortable journey.
  • Catamaran Ecstasy was rebuilt and officially registered with the Indian Register of Shipping, meeting the required maritime standards.
  • The vessel was upgraded to accommodate 399 passengers, including 194 air-conditioned seats, along with new engines to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
  • We are authorized by the Maharashtra Maritime Board, with our route and operating licence renewed annually. Ticket fares are approved by the Mumbai Port Authority.
